Fabric NEW FABRICS COME SEE!!!
You will need 8 fabrics for the center mariner’s compass. You can use 4 or 8 for the flying
geese and 1 for the circle of geese background. In either case, you need the same amount of
fabric.
Background: 1 ¼ yard
Compass background: ½ yard (includes geese in circle)
Circle of geese background: ¼ yard
All other fabrics (geese): ¼ yard
Backing: 1 ¼ yard
Binding: ½ Yard

Foundation paper – I like soluble paper. We will supply patterns printed on soluble paper.
‘Add A Quarter’ 6 and 12 inch rulers
Rotary cutter, mat, and ruler
A small mat (5 ½ X 8 ½) to use next to your machine is good
A 28mm rotary cutter is good for trimming the seams
60 degree triangle ruler
3 ½ Inch Square ruler
(Optional) 5 ½ Inch Square Ruler
Stiletto
Fabric marker (chalk, disappearing ink, etc)
(Optional) AccuQuilt Strip cutters – 1 ½, 2, 2 ½, 4 1/2
50, 60, or 80 weight thread for piecing
Many people suggest using a lighter thread for paper piecing
